For the aficionado of "real look" 1940s costume jewelry this very rare, exquisite parure is a must own! I have seen the fur clip and the earrings being sold separately, however I have not yet come across these three pieces together. Rice Weiner is responsible for some of the best costume jewelry of the late 1930s- 1940s. They produced jewelry for Alexander Korda and McClelland Barclay. In 1946, the company split into two companies; using the hallmarks Barclay and Jeray [this part of the company also used the hallmark American Beauty Pearls]. I suppose it is not a surprise that this glamorous parure has the look of a McClelland Barclay piece! It consists of a fur clip, a bracelet and matching clip- on earrings. It is vermeil over sterling and each piece has an emerald cut, large topaz stone with sparkling clear rhinestones as accents. The bracelet closes with a fold-over clasp and all pieces are signed. ca. 1946- 1948.
Condition: Excellent vintage. Minor age related wear to the vermeil in spots. Earrings show the most wear.
Measurements: Clip: 2 1/4" long and 1 1/1" wide. Bracelet: 7" long. Earrings: 1" long and 1/2" wide.
