Cuff Link Types

Cufflinks have been
popular for hundreds of years and although they lost most of their
popularity during the 1960s they are back.
Originally worn by
kings and the well to do the 1920 - 1930s saw more makers producing
cufflinks that were affordable for the "people". Now, what was once a
status symbol became a standard sought after and collectable item.
Most of the earlier
cufflinks we "real" and set with gemstones. During the
Art Deco period these "real" links became so popular that they
were eventually copied using imitation gemstones, glass and the
like.
